Wednesday 28 October
Session 1: 8AM UTC
Session 2: 3PM UTC
People around the world are hungry for economic systems change.
The first Reclaim the Economy Week in 2026 saw more than 100 events across 29 countries. For 2027 we want to broaden our reach, bringing in more voices and providing materials in more languages.
We invite you to use this moment of global solidarity in whatever way is most useful to you - bringing your own campaigns, messaging and perspectives - whether that’s Indigenous economics, rights-based economics, degrowth, doughnuts, a wellbeing economy or whichever framing you use to talk about life-centric economies.
If you’re an interested individual we have resources to help you take action and build power where you are.

Wellbeing Economy Alliance and Earth4All have created the week in the hope it will serve everyone campaigning to redesign our economies in service of people and planet - whether that’s advocating for Indigenous economics, doughnut economics, degrowth, wellbeing economies or any other post-growth economic framework.

Our economies are the product of deliberate decisions. They were designed by people. They can be redesigned by people.
It’s time to reclaim our power. The people the economy fails hardest should have the biggest say in fixing it.
We want to build economies where dignity, fairness and ecological wellbeing replace narrow measures of success — where everyone has enough to live well, and all life on Earth is restored and protected.
There's no one-size-fits-all blueprint for a good economy. Reclaim the Economy Week is a chance to showcase the many ways people are already providing for each other around the world. -
